KTET 2025 June session postponed to September 18, 19; check May session exam date

Candidates can check the KETE exam details by visiting the official website, ktet.kerala.gov.in. The KTET June 2025 session admit card will be issued by the exam conducting authority on August 14.

New Delhi: The Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan has deffered the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) May and June 2025 session exam dates. As per the KTET revised schedule, the May session exam will now be held on September 11. While, the KTET June session exam is scheduled for September 18 and 19.  Earlier, the KTET entrance exam was scheduled to be held on August 23, 24, 2025.

Candidates appearing for the exam can check more details through the official website, ktet.kerala.gov.in. The KTET June 2025 admit card will be issued on August 14.

The official notice reads, 'KTET May 2025 (For Service Teachers Only) – Exam postponed to 11 September 2025. KTET June 2025 – Exam postponed to 18 and 19 September 2025.'

KTET June 2025 exam pattern

The Kerala TET June 2025 exam will be held in two sessions each day in pen and paper mode. Session 1 will be from 10 AM to 12:30 PM, and session 2 from 2 PM to 4:30 PM. The KTET paper will be divided in four categories- category 1, category 2, category 3 and category 4. Each paper will have 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). KCET will be for a total of 150 marks.

As per the KCET marking scheme, for every correct answer, one mark for each correct answer will be awarded. There will be no negative marking for the incorrect answer or attempted question.

Why KTET is conducted?

KTET is a state-level eligibility test conducted to recruit candidates for teaching positions from lower primary to high school in Kerala state.

Category 1 is for those who are seeking to teach in Class 1 to 5, category 2 is for candidates who want to teach in Class 6 to 8. Category 3 is for teaching in Class 9 and 10. While, category 4 is for language teachers, specialist subject teachers and those teaching the subjects not included in the first three categories.
