New Delhi: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) confirmed that all schools across the state will remain closed on December 12. This decision has been taken as the state government’s declared a public holiday to commemorate the death anniversary of Pa Togan Nengminja Sangma who was a revered freedom fighter known for leading resistance against British forces.
The annual observance honours Sangma’s legacy and contributions to Meghalaya’s history leading to adjustments in academic schedules statewide.
MBOSE has rescheduled the Class 11 internal or promotion practical exam that was earlier set for December 12. As per the board’s notice, the exam will now be held on December 15. The board urged all students, schools and exam centres to take note of the revised date to ensure a smooth conduct of the internal assessments.
