NIFT 2026 registration with late fee ends today
The NIFT 2026 application form correction can be done between January 20 to January 21. The entrance exam will be held on February 8.
New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) 2026 registration with late fee ends today, January 19. Candidates applying with the late fee need to pay an additional amount of Rs 5,000. The application link is available at exams.nta.nic.in/niftee.
The NIFT 2026 entrance exam is scheduled to be held on February 8. NIFTEE exam is conducted for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate fashion and design programmes which include Bachelor of Design (BDes), Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BFTech), Master of Design (MDes) and Master of Fashion Management (MFM).
The NIFT 2026 application correction process will start on January 20. The last date to make changes in the application form is January 21.
NIFT application fee
The NIFT application fee for candidates who belong to the General, Gen Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Other Backward Class- Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) is Rs 7,000 which includes a regular fee of Rs 2,000 and a late fee of Rs 5,000. The fee for the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) category candidates is Rs 5,500 which includes a regular fee of Rs 500 and a late fee of Rs 5,000.
Steps to apply for NIFT 2026 exam
Candidates can apply for NIFTEE 2026 exam by following the below mentioned steps-
- Step 1: First of all, visit the official NTA NIFTEE portal, exams.nta.nic.in/niftee
- Step 2: Complete the registration by filling in the necessary details.
- Step 3: Next, proceed to fill out the application form with personal and academic details.
- Step 4: Upload the required documents in the specified format.
- Step 5: Make payment of the application fee along with the late fee.
- Step 6: Submit the form and download the confirmation page.
NIFT 2026 exam pattern
The entrance exam will be held in hybrid mode which includes a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and Pen-and-Paper Test (PBT). The exam evaluates candidates through a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and a General Ability Test(GAT). CAT tests design sense, observation skills, creativity and drawing ability of the candidate and GAT includes communication ability and English comprehension, quantitative ability, analytical and logical ability and current affairs and general knowledge.
