The National Medical Commission (NMC) is closely monitoring the situation surrounding Al-Falah University as concerns grow over the academic future of its medical students. As per sources, the NMC is reviewing options including the possibility of relocating newly admitted students for the upcoming academic session, if required. Moreover, high-level internal meetings are currently underway to review the matter in detail.

The issue has drawn national attention as the university faces multiple investigations, prompting uncertainty among students and parents. However, NMC officials have emphasised that protecting students’ education and future remains their top priority.

NMC’s assurance to students

The NMC has assured that the academic future of Al-Falah University’s medical students will not be affected despite the ongoing probes into the institution. Officials have clearly stated that all measures will be taken to safeguard the careers of the medical students. Sources indicate that while discussions are taking place inside the NMC, no official order has been issued regarding the transfer of students to other colleges.

Current status of Al-Falah University students' admission

As of now, the NMC has not confirmed any large-scale relocation plan. The university has already filled all 150 MBBS seats for the 2025–2026 academic year through the standard state counselling process overseen by Haryana authorities.

The continuation of the medical college will depend on decisions made by the Haryana state government and the results of ongoing national-level investigations. Agencies such as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) are actively looking into various allegations linked to the institution.

Investigations and key concerns

The university came under national scrutiny after the arrest of several individuals, including doctors linked to the institution, in connection with the November 2025 Red Fort blast in Delhi. Investigating agencies are examining possible terror links, financial irregularities and false accreditation claims.

The ED has arrested the university’s chairman, Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui, in a money laundering case involving the alleged diversion of more than Rs 400 crore in student fees. Additionally, NAAC has issued a show-cause notice for falsely displaying outdated 'A-grade' accreditation on the university website.
