Bollywood He-Man Dharmendras celebration of life to be held tomorrow

Mumbai: Dharmendra's celebration of life is scheduled to take place tomorrow, on November 27. As per the poster, the event will start at 5 pm and extend till 7:30 pm at Taj Lands End in Bandra. 

The legendary star passed away earlier on November 24. The actor was 89 years old and was battling prolonged illnesses. His death left his family, peers and fans in deep sorrow. He was cremated at Pawan Hans crematorium. Peers from the industry took to social media to cherish memories of the great actor. 

 Narenendra Modi stated, "The passing of Dharmendra Ji marks the end of an era in Indian cinema. He was an iconic film personality, a phenomenal actor who brought charm and depth to every role he played. The manner in which he played diverse roles struck a chord with countless people. Dharmendra Ji was equally admired for his simplicity, humility and warmth. In this sad hour, my thoughts are with his family, friends and innumerable fans. Om Shanti." 

Many actors and filmmakers also recollect their memories of the actor.  Sharing a throwback image with the icon, actress Sushmita Sen wrote, "A legend yes, but what an incredible human being!!! He touched lives like a blessing. His hugs, laughter, kindness & immense goodness…all so contagious & life-affirming!!! The sheer joy on my face in the pictures with him, tells you the energy he embodied…and shared with such generosity. There are few, who leave the world more beautiful than the way they found it… I feel so grateful that I got to witness that grace through you Dharam ji."

Dharmendra has acted in over 300 movies. Ayee Milan Ki Bela, Phool Aur Patthar, Aaye Din Bahar Ke, Seeta Aur Geeta, Raja Jani, Jugnu, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, Dost, Sholay, Pratiggya and Charas are some of his noted movies.
