New Delhi: Indian cinema's box office is pulsating with diverse releases, ranging from mass-action spectacles to intimate dramas and thrillers. Recent entries like Akhanda 2: Thaandavam and Dhurandhar are dominating earnings, while smaller films struggle to secure screens amid intense competition.

As collections unfold post-release, Nandamuri Balakrishna's sequel and espionage epics lead the way, teasing bigger clashes ahead in this festive season frenzy.

Akhanda 2: Thaandavam

Nandamuri Balakrishna stars in a dual role as the divine Aghora warrior Akhanda Rudra Sikandar Aghora and his twin Murali Krishna, alongside Samyuktha, Aadhi Pinisetty, and Harshaali Malhotra. The Tollywood action sequel follows Akhanda protecting a scientist from enemies plotting biological warfare and occult threats in the Himalayas. Released on December 12, 2025, it grossed Rs 35.75 crore worldwide on its opening day, matching its India net of Rs 30 crore.

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2

Kapil Sharma leads with Manjot Singh, Hira Warina, Tridha Choudhury, and Parul Gulati in this Bollywood comedy sequel about a man juggling multiple secret marriages. Directed by Anukalp Goswami, it extends the original's chaotic romance premise amid family mix-ups. Out since December 12, 2025, it earned a modest Rs 2.1 crore gross and Rs 1.75 crore net on opening day, facing stiff competition. 

 The Devil

This Sandalwood political thriller features a corrupt chief minister plotting with an IAS officer to swap his arrogant son in London with a lookalike actor Krishna for power grabs, sparking rivalries and abductions. Key cast includes roles for Dhanush's double and Rukmini, blending drama and deception. Released December 11, 2025, it collected Rs 16 crore gross and Rs 13.5 crore net so far.

Dhurandhar

Ranveer Singh headlines as an R&AW agent in this Bollywood saga inspired by real operations like the 2008 Mumbai attacks, with R. Madhavan as NSA Ajit Doval, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the 214-minute epic tracks covert anti-terror missions. Since December 5, 2025, it amassed Rs 357.25 crore gross, Rs 239.25 crore net, and Rs 287.25 crore India net, gaining Rs 70 crore recently. 

 Kalamkaval

Mammootty plays a menacing villain opposite Vinayakan as a cop, with Gayatri Arun and Rajisha Vijayan in this Mollywood crime thriller about intense pursuits. Directed by Jithin K. Jose, it delivers high-stakes action and praised performances. Post-December 5, 2025, release, it hit Rs 64.5 crore gross, Rs 33 crore net, with Rs 31.5 crore added lately.

Gustaakh Ishq

Vijay Varma as poet Nawabuddin, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Naseeruddin Shah as Aziz, and Sharib Hashmi star in this Bollywood romantic drama set in 1990s Delhi, where love blooms amid printing press woes and heartbreak. Vibhu Puri directs the old-school tale of torn loyalties. Released November 28, 2025, it grossed Rs 2.07 crore with Rs 1.75 crore net. 

GST (Ghosts in Trouble)

Srujan Lokesh, as unlucky Luck, teams with ghosts like Girija Lokesh and Tabla Nani, romancing Rajani Bharadwaj's Nidhi in this Sandalwood comedy-thriller. The plot sees Lucky aiding spirits in a bank heist for their salvation after financial woes. Out since November 28, 2025, it earned Rs 1.17 crore gross and Rs 1.05 crore net.

Revolver Rita

Keerthy Suresh as Rita battles gang wars in Pondicherry to save her family after a gangster's murder, with Radhika Sarathkumar, Redin Kingsley, and John Vijay in this Kollywood action-crime comedy by JK Chandru. It mixes thrills and humour in family peril. Since November 28, 2025, collections reached Rs 4.7 crore gross and Rs 3.95 crore net. 

Tere Ishk Mein

Dhanush as rebellious Shankar Gurukkal falls for Kriti Sanon's reformist Mukti Beniwal, with Prakash Raj and Priyanshu Painyuli, in this Bollywood romance about transformation and second chances, a spiritual Raanjhanaa sequel. Released November 28, 2025, it grossed Rs 150.35 crore, netted Rs 109.85 crore, and added Rs 21 crore lately.
