Dabangg director Abhinav Kashyap calls Salman Khan ganda insaan, gunda

New Delhi: Filmmaker Abhinav Kashyap, who has directed Dabangg (2010), has slammed superstar Salman Khan and called him a "gunda”, "ganda insaan”, and his family "vindictive”. He also added that the actor hasn’t been "interested in acting for the last 25 years”. Not only this, but he even claimed that the actor sabotaged his career after he refused to direct Dabangg 2.

Abhinav revealed in an interview with the Indian Express that his brother Anurag Kashyap faced setbacks after a fallout with Boney Kapoor during 2003 film Tere Naam, starring Salman Khan.

Speaking with the publication, Abhinav Kashyap said, "He is a gunda (goon). I was not aware of this before Dabangg. Salman badtameez hai, ganda insaan hai (Salman is ill-mannered and a bad person).”

He also accused the actor’s family of "behaving vindictively”. He was quoted as saying, "He is the father of the star system in Bollywood. He is from a film family which has been in the industry since 50 years. He continues the process. They are vindictive people. They control the whole process. If you don’t agree with them, they come after you.”

Abhinav further spoke about Salman not being interested in acting and said, "Salman is never involved. He is not even interested in acting, and he hasn’t been since the last 25 years. He does a favour by turning up to work. He is more into the power of being a celebrity, but he is not interested in acting.”

Seems like Salman Khan responded to the allegations and said on Bigg Boss 19, "An allegation has been levelled against me that I’ve sabotaged so many careers. But that specially is not in my hands. But that’s what works these days that he’s sabotaged careers. Which career have I sabotaged? If I could do that at all, I’d first sabotage my own career. Sometimes, I get complacent, but then I leave that alone, and then I try to hold grip of them again."

The director of Dabangg also opened up about how his brother Anurag Kashyap suffered the same fate and said that Boney Kapoor misbehaved with him and didn’t give him credit for writing the script of Tere Naam, adding, "The exact same thing that happened with me. The basis of any good film is a good script.”

He also revealed, "he same happened with him (Anurag Kashyap) in Tere Naam. How would he guide or advice me? He told me before Dabangg that you won’t be able to make a film with Salman. He just didn’t tell in great detail that why I won’t be able to make a movie with him. He just thought I’ll get easily bullied, he knows these vultures.”
