New Delhi: Vijay Deverakonda’s spy action thriller, Kingdom, is all set to release on July 31 and the advance booking sales are already indicating good numbers at the box office. The film is expected to perform well in the Southern belt and according to trade experts, the film might mint around Rs 15 crore in India and Rs 20 to Rs 25 crore worldwide.
The craze of the movie is palpable with impressive pre-sales collection. The film will also have its first show at 11 pm on July 30 in the US in select theatres and in India, its first show in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana after 7 am on July 31. Now, let’s explore how the movie is expected to flare at the box office, according to trade experts.
Speaking to TV9 English Digital, trade analyst Ramesh Bala opined that Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom will open big in theatres. He said, “The movie will have a good opening because the trailer was good. Vijay Devarkonda, the director and Anirudh are already creating a lot of buzz. The advance booking looks good in both India and the USA. So, it will open big. If the content meets the hype, it will be a blockbuster. But the opening will be very good. It will be certainly best for Vijay Devarkonda. In India, film’s collection is expected to be Rs 15 crore and worldwide it will be around Rs 20-25 crore.”
On the other hand, trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared with us, “Vijay Deverkonda has the potential but unfortunately, consistency of delivering at the box office with big numbers has not really been there as much as we would have hoped for it to be. Let's hope we can consolidate that with Kingdom and go on to bigger and better orbits. I truly hope that Kingdom manages to get the right kind of shows.”
He further added, “Whether we'll go on to do Arjun Reddy's collections or not entirely depends on the merit of the film's content. While all of us are hoping that he strives back after quite a while, you know it entirely depends on the grade of storytelling and the merits of the film more than anything else. So let's keep our fingers crossed and all of us in the industry need more talent that can be considered tankable at the box office.”
