Mumbai: Haq, starring Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam, is all set to release on November 7, 2025. Just one day ahead of the release, film exhibitor Akshaye Rathi opined that the movie might earn Rs 2-3 on the opening day.

"Haq is going to be totally word of mouth. It's not that the film is going to get a big opening at the Box Office. Maybe a 2-3 Cr. opening. After that the it will be a question of word of mouth. The Predator will fare in similar way. Nothing earth-shattering is expected unless these films turn out to be extraordinary," said the film exhibitor.

He further commented about Thamma, Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandana's Diwali release. "Thamma has made whatever business it could have made, and it has slowed down. The same is the case with Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat. It's doing whatever it can in B and C centres," he stated.

He added, "The two Diwali releases, Thamma and Deewaniyat, have done better than what was expected of them. From an exhibitor's point of view, last year Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again got 80 Cr opening. This year, Thamma and Deewaniyat got 27 Cr opening. There are great chances of doing big business on festivals. But we haven't been able to encash that fully. Weekends like Diwali come only once a year. That opportunity has been lost."

"It should be a big celebratory, front footed film that will get a ballistic opening. You need those ballistic openers that have the potential to do 70-80 Cr on Diwali. Whether it's a business of one film or multiple films, it doesn't matter. You can't be happy with 20-30 Cr between two films," he added.

He also said that everyone had high hopes for Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayan.  "All of us are hugely hopeful that it will earn 100 Cr on a single day. It has the potential. The industry has been doing a course correction and 2026 looks like we will be in a front footed scenario. The films being made look like they'll do well at the box office," said Akshaye.
