MK Stalin calls Bison a diamond in Mari Selvaraj’s crown

Chennai: Bison, directed by Mari Selvaraj, starring Dhruv Vikram in the lead, is garnering the praise of audiences in theatres. Recently, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin lauded the movie on social media. He opined that the movie was another diamond in Mari Selvaraj's crown. 

The CM took to X to praise the movie. He wrote, "Bison Kaalamaadan: another diamond in Mari Selvaraj’s crown." The politician then went on to appreciate Mari Selvaraj's skill. He wrote, " He has faithfully and heart-warmingly transformed the life of a young man who set out from his village to achieve success into a touching screen experience." 

He also observed that the movies made by the director always had a message for the public. "Bison is a great example of his continued growth as an artist," said Stalin. He went on to laud the director's realistic storytelling and his artistic language. The politician stated that Mari was creating a new identity for the Tamil film industry. 

He concluded the post by appreciating the cast, including Dhruv Vikram, Pasupathi, Anupama, Rajisha Vijayan, whose stellar performances made the movie a grand success. "My heartfelt congratulations to everyone who brought the screenplay of Mari to life.  He should deliver more thought-provoking works like this," opined the politician. 

Bison explores the life of a young man from a village and the social and personal challenges he faces against the backdrop of Kabaddi. Within a few days, the movie has managed to capture the attention and love of cinephiles. The film is based on the life of  Arjuna Award-winning kabaddi player Manathi Ganesan from Thoothukudi. The movie's music is composed by Nivas K. Prasanna.
