New Delhi: Actor Aasif Khan, best known for Panchayat and Mirzapur, suffered a health scare last month. He was admitted to the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai last month. Now, the actor has shared his health update and revealed that he has quit smoking after suffering from gastroesophageal reflux disease, which caused heart attack-like symptoms.

Earlier, it was reported that the actor suffered a heart attack but he clarified that it was gastroesophageal reflux disease. In his latest health update, he revealed that he has quit smoking from last 21 days after he had a health scare.

Actor Aasif Khan took to Instagram to inform his fans, “They say it takes 21 days for every good or bad habit to break. Today marks 21 days since I quit smoking. It’s Friendship Day today, and I thought, what better day than this to tell my friends how much I love them. Life keeps bringing ups and downs, but in the highs, your support marches like a flood… a crowd of people. But in the lows, those who stay with you—happy Friendship Day to all of them.”

He further added, “Meet your friends every day. Don’t make life’s deals over things worth 20-30 rupees !!! Maybe someday, I’ll laugh reading these words. Ps – I am at home , much better much stronger, ye photo purani hai !!"

After being hospitalised, he was advised by the doctors to make lifestyle changes and make particular changes in his diet. The incident occurred after Aasif drove all day from his hometown in Rajasthan to Mumbai. On the same day, he experienced chest pain and fainted in the bathroom. He was then rushed to the hospital.
