New Delhi: There was a time when Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor were among the most loved couples in Bollywood. They not only lit up cinemas with their presence but also charmed fans off-screen. Although the duo has worked together in several films, their first on-screen pairing was in Fida, released in 2004.

According to TV9Hindi, it was on the sets of the Ken Ghosh directorial that Shahid and Kareena fell in love, marking the beginning of their relationship. Their dating phase lasted until 2007. That same year, their hit movie Jab We Met took the silver screen by storm.

Following the release of the romantic comedy, Shahid and Kareena parted ways. While the two never openly revealed the reason behind their highly-discussed breakup, reports suggest that a co-star of Kareena was involved.

As per a BollywoodShaadis.com report, things reportedly turned sour between Shahid and Kareena after an unfortunate turn of events. It is said that Bebo had gone out for a shoot with another actor, during which she allegedly had a secret fling. By the time Kareena returned to Mumbai after filming, Shahid had found out about it.

As soon as Shahid became aware of the situation, their relationship ended abruptly. This was when their three-year romance came to a sudden halt.

The last movie that featured Shahid and Kareena together was Udta Punjab. Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, the crime drama also starred Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh in pivotal roles.

Interestingly, Udta Punjab managed to set the cash registers ringing at the Box Office and emerged as a commercial success. The film, which was loosely based on the issue of drug abuse in Punjab, not only impressed audiences with its gripping performances but also earned various prestigious awards. Interestingly, on the Internet Movie Database (IMDb), it is rated 7.7 out of 10, with insights from more than 30 thousand users of the digital platform.
