Shilpa Shinde to return to Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain after 9 years? Heres what we know

Mumbai: Actress Shilpa Shinde might return to the comedy show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain after 9 years, says sources. Shinde had walked out of the show following a conflict with the makers of the show. However, as per the latest updates, talks with the actress are in the pipeline for her to return and replace the current actress, Shubhangi Atre, playing the role of Angoori Bhabhi.

Though the decision has not been finalised, sources state that the discussions are in the final stages. The conclusion is expected to be made soon. The show first aired about 10 years ago. At the time, it featured Shilpa Shinde as Angoori Bhabhi. It seems the makers of the show want Shinde to reprise her character now. 

Shinde's return, however, might be different. The makers are planning to relaunch her in a new format, 2.0 version. 

When Shinde exited the show in 2016, it became big news in the television industry. At the time, the actress accused the makers of harassing her mentally. She also stated that they had forced her to sign a contract that prevented her from working on any other projects. Additionally, she accused them of discrimination in providing staff and even claimed payment refusal from their end. 

As a result, the actress was served with a legal notice by the production house. 

Soon after leaving the show, Shinde made appearances in a few other reality shows. She became the winner of Bigg Boss 11 and was also seen in Khatron Ke Khiladi 14. In 2023, she made a brief appearance in Maddam Sir.
