New Delhi: The Hindi cult classic, Sholay, is going to complete its 50th anniversary on this Independence Day. The movie, which is directed by Ramesh Sippy and produced by GP Sippy, initially flopped. This was revealed in Prime Video's documentary series The Angry Young Men.

The writers, Salim and Javed, even recalled facing criticism and ridicule for their prediction that the film would earn crores per territory. Here are more such amazing details about the movie.
