TMKOCs Jennifer Mistry reacts to Disha Vakani-Asit Modis rakhi video; calls it PR Stunt | Exclusive

New Delhi: The well-known actor of the comedy serial Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah, Jennifer Mistry Beniwal, who played the role of Roshan Sodhi, recently spoke about the viral video where Disha Vakani, aka Dayaben, is seen tying Rakhi to Asit Modi, the producer of TMOKC. Jennifer called it a mere "publicity stunt". Dive in to know what else she told TV9 English in an exclusive chat.

Jennifer told TV9 English that she feels that the viral video of Disha Vakani tying a Rakhi to Asit Modi is a PR stunt. Jennifer said,'' It is Disha’s house and one can see her son playing in the background, and her relatives are also seen in the video.'' She also added that the director had also done such things before and had reacted very weirdly. 

She also said that everyone gets back their karma, so what Askit Modi did to her, the same happened to him in return.

In her words, "Maine haath paav jode the ke mujhe kaam karne do, but they did not listen to me. According to her, she had worked in the serial until the ninth month of her pregnancy, but after that, when she asked for her return to the show to get some work, the producer didn't give her any work. She further added, "Karma does not spare anyone; they keep pleading to Disha to come back, but she is not coming back as she knows the toxic atmosphere, and the main reason for throwing me out of the show was my fight with Gurcharan Singh Sodhi.’’

The actress shared that Disha even returned to the show, but she suddenly exited it without any prior notice. After which, Asit Modi gave a gimmick reaction, which is quite laughable. While explaining more about the incident, she said, "Disha told us she will return, and she said main kal se aa rahi hoon. She had given the measurements, and suddenly no news from her side.''

While Jennifer continues her legal fight against Asit Modi in the sexual harassment case going on in the court.  She has been attending all the industrial court hearings for the last year and is paying heavy fees to her lawyer to fight Modi. The court hearing is quite expensive for Jennifer.

She said, "I spent at least Rs 35,000 as my lawyer attends the hearing, and most of the time we are only given a new date. There were times when the judge was absent, and there were times I was given a date and it turned out to be a public holiday."

On the work front, it is still a challenge for Jennifer to get any role after her exit from the show. She has only a few auditions that she does, but is now focusing on turning into an influencer to make a living. She said, "I am working on being an influencer, working on my creativity to create good content."
