13-year-old ends life after losing money in Free Fire game in Indore

Indore: A 13-year-old boy in Indore allegedly died by suicide after losing money in the popular mobile game "Free Fire.” Police said the minor, upset and under pressure after the loss, hanged himself at his home in the MIG police station area.

According to investigators, the boy had been playing online games regularly and reportedly lost a small amount of money in the game. The mental stress triggered by the loss is believed to have driven him to take the extreme step. Police have registered a case of unnatural death, seized the mobile phone and sent it for forensic examination to confirm details of the gameplay and transactions. Additional DCP Amarendra Singh confirmed the preliminary findings. He said, "The boy was addicted to online games and had lost money in one of them. We have registered a case and seized his mobile phone for forensic examination. The matter is being investigated from all possible angles.”
