New Delhi: BJP IT Cell chief Amit Malviya shared a proud moment for India on social media, announcing that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been awarded Ghana’s highest civilian honour “The Officer of the Order of the Star of Ghana”.
In a tweet, Malviya wrote, “Another proud moment for India! Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been conferred with Ghana’s highest state honour — The Officer of the Order of the Star of Ghana. This prestigious recognition reflects not only PM Modi’s global leadership but also India’s rising stature on the world stage under his visionary guidance.”
The award was presented to PM Modi during a ceremony held in Ghana’s capital, Accra. President John Dramani Mahama honoured him with the country’s top civilian award. PM Modi accepted the award with gratitude and dedicated it to the citizens of India.
Calling it a proud moment, the Prime Minister said, “I feel honoured to receive this recognition. This award is dedicated to the youth of India, their bright future, and the strong historical ties between India and Ghana.” He also described the award as a symbol of the deep friendship between the two countries and assured that India would continue to stand with the people of Ghana.
Prime Minister Modi also thanked the people and government of Ghana through a message on social media. He highlighted the shared values, cooperation, and goodwill between the two nations.
This honour adds to a long list of international recognitions Modi has received during his tenure. So far, he has been awarded 24 global honours, including top civilian awards from countries such as Afghanistan, Russia and Palestine.
