Bangladesh: At least 19 dead, over 100 injured after fighter trainer crashes into Dhaka college
Following the tragic incident, Chief Adviser of Bangladesh's interim government Muhammad Yunus offered his condolences. He described it as a huge loss for air force personnel, students, parents, and teachers, and called it a moment of deep sorrow for the whole nation.

New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a Bangladesh Air Force training jet crashed into a college building, killing at least 19 people and injuring over 100 in Dhaka's northern Uttara area on Monday. The students of Milestone School and College were reportedly present at the time of the crash.
Bangladesh Army's public relations officer asserted that the downed F-7 BGI aircraft belonged to the Air Force.
Firefighting and rescue teams are carrying out a thorough inquiry at the crash site to find out any damage along with searching for any additional casualties. As of now, no official statement has been issued regarding the condition of the pilots.
Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Adviser of the interim government in Bangladesh, expressed his condolences after the tragic incident. He said it was a great loss for the air force staff, students, parents, and teachers, and a time of deep sorrow for the entire country. "The loss suffered by the air force personnel, students, parents, teachers, staff of Milestone School and College, and others in this accident is irreparable. This is a moment of deep grief for the nation," he added.
According to his office, more than 100 people were injured in the accident, and at least 83 are receiving treatment in different hospitals. The chief adviser also mentioned that an emergency helpline has been set up at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery after the crash.

The F-7 BGI jet, an advanced version of the Chinese J-7 fighter used for training purposes, took off from a nearby base at 1:06 pm local time before crashing into the Milestone School and College campus, the military’s public relations department said in a statement.
