Vande Mataram an example of India's ethos: Birla
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Monday described "Vande Mataram" as a reflection of India's harmony and strength, as the House took up a day-long discussion on the national song penned by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee. In his opening remarks, Birla said that as the country commemorates the 150-year glorious journey of 'Vande Mataram', it remains etched in the heart of every Indian even today.
Delhi Police nabs Bawaria gang member
The Delhi Police has arrested a wanted member of the Bawaria gang, who is an alleged interstate criminal and was on the run in more than a dozen cases, an official said on Monday.The accused, identified as Sanjay alias Jhallu, a resident of Shamli in Uttar Pradesh, was traced to Mandi Gobindgarh in Punjab, where he had been hiding to evade arrest, he said as per PTI.
CMG formed to tackle ongoing crisis: IndiGo
IndiGo has shared a statement saying a Crisis Managament Group (CMG) has been formed to tackle the crisis. It is holding meeting daily on the crisis, the airline said.

Supreme Court declines urgent hearing on IndiGo flight delays, cites government action
The Supreme Court has refused to entertain a plea seeking an urgent hearing in the matter regarding the recent cancellations and delays of commercial passenger flights by the airline company IndGo.
The plea was mentioned by an advocate who stated that around 2500 flights have been delayed in 95 airports in the country, and people are suffering because of it.
"We understand that lakhs of people are stranded.
Maybe some people have urgent work, and they are not able to... But then the government of India has taken cognisance of the issue. Timely steps appear to have been taken. We don’t see any urgency right now,” says CJI Surya Kant.
