Dehradun: The investigation into the Delhi car blast has now reached Uttarakhand, where seven people are being questioned for their possible links to the main accused. These individuals include doctors, a placement agency owner, and others who were in contact with the accused at different times.
The Uttarakhand Police Intelligence and Special Task Force (STF) teams are conducting a detailed investigation. According to sources, these seven suspects are being questioned in separate rounds, and their activities over the past six months are being closely examined. Their call records, electronic devices, and app data are also being checked.
Delhi blast exposed a wide network of suspects
The blast, carried out by suicide bomber Dr. Umar Un Nabi, involved an IED-laden car and has exposed a wide network of suspects. The investigation has already revealed links stretching from Kashmir to Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Now, Uttarakhand has also come under the scanner.
UP ATS shared information about seven individuals
The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) shared information about these seven individuals with the Uttarakhand Intelligence Headquarters. Based on this, the STF quickly reached out to all of them and began questioning. The suspects are believed to have had direct or indirect contact with the main accused and his associates, including Amir Rashid Ali, Dr. Muzammil Shakeel, Dr. Adil Rathar, and Dr. Shaheena Shahid.
Sources say that some of the suspects are connected to placement agencies, while others are from the medical field. These links are being taken seriously, as they may help uncover the full extent of the terrorist network behind the Delhi blast.
Uttarakhand STF is handling the matter currently
Although the UP ATS was expected to visit Uttarakhand for further investigation, it has been decided that there is no immediate need for their presence. The STF in Uttarakhand is already handling the matter efficiently. A coordination desk has been set up to ensure smooth sharing of information between the two states.
Name of the accused are not revealed
The police are being cautious and are not revealing the names of the suspects at this stage. However, officials say that the investigation is moving in the right direction and more details may come out soon. This development highlights the widening scope of the Delhi blast case and the importance of inter-state cooperation in tackling such serious threats.
