Earlier bomb threats in schools of Delhi
This is however not the first time that a Delhi school has received a bomb threat. Earlier also schools across Delhi-NCR have received threat calls and mails. In July this year 45 schools across Delhi-NCR received bomb threats, sending students, teachers and their parents into a panic mode. The authorities had launched a search operation soon after.
The bomb threat however later proved to be a hoax. A similar hoax bomb threat incident was also reported in May 2024. At that time at least 100 schools across Delhi-NCR received bomb threats. The threats were sent through email. In all previous cases, the threats proved to be a hoax.
The Delhi Police meanwhile are searching the DPS Dwarka premises with dog squads for presence of any explosives or other suspicious items.
