New Delhi: The Kishangarh police station in Southwest Delhi have arrested a man in an alleged case of molestation. He has been identified as 31-year-old Mohit Priyadarshi, who is a resident of Civil Lines in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. He works as a pilot for a private airline, said officials.
The police have recovered a spy camera which looked like a cigarette lighter from the possession of the accused. The police said that they received a complaint from a woman saying that Priyadarshi had molested her.
The woman, who has not been identified, said that she was at the Shani Bazaar of Kishangarh village at around 10:20 pm on August 30. It was her that she noticed that a man was trying to make an objectionable video of her using a device, which looked like a lighter. Soon after the complaint was filed, the police started their investigations.
The police scanned CCTV footage of the area and with help from local informers, they managed to nab the Priyadarshi. He has confessed to the crime, said officials. The accused reportedly told investigators that he was unmarried and was making such videos for his personal satisfaction.
The police are investigating the matter and trying to find out if he had recorded such obscene videos of other women as well.
