Anmol Bishnois family worried about his security as gangster set to arrive in India shortly; NIA team at Delhi airport

New Delhi: Gangster Anmol Bishnoi, a key accused in the murder case of NCP leader Baba Siddique, is set to arrive in India on Wednesday after being deported from the US. Anmol, who is the younger brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, is expected to land in Delhi before 12 pm.
Following his arrival in India, the gangster will be taken into custody by the anti-terror probe agency NIA, sources said, adding that he will then be produced before a court for remand.
Meanwhile, Anmol's family urged the Central government to ensure his safety, expressing concern over the "gang war". His cousin Ramesh Bishnoi said the family "respects the law" but wants assurance that Anmol will not be harmed if he is brought back to India. He also alleged that Anmol was being targeted for being the brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. "The family is worried about his security. On behalf of the family, I request the Prime Minister and Home Minister to ensure Anmol's security. The way gang war is happening, we are apprehensive."
"Our family, society have always respected the law. Whether he is a culprit... it is part of inquiry. His biggest crime is that he is younger brother of Lawrence... he was never in the world of crime," he said.

Mumbai Police had sent two proposals about his extradition after investigating agencies got information that Anmol Bishnoi, who kept moving between the United States and Canada, had been detained in Canada. e was reportedly carrying a Russian Passport, procured on the basis of a forged document
NCP leader and Baba Siddique's son Zeeshan Siddique told PTI that he had received an email informing that Anmol Bishnoi had been "removed" from the US. "This means he is not in the United States and should be brought to India and tried for his crimes, " the former MLA added.
Baba Siddique, a former Maharashtra Minister, was shot dead on October 12, 2024, in front of his son Zeeshan's office in Bandra. Following his death, several people linked to Lawrence Bishnoi, who is in prison were arrested.
