'My visit to Arunachal today is very special'

PM Modi explained the reasons why his visit to Arunachal Pradesh is special. He said, "The first is that on the auspicious occasion of Navratri, I have been blessed with the chance to witness these magnificent mountains. On this day of Navratri, we worship Maa Shailputri, the daughter of the mighty Himalayas. To be amidst these very mountains and offer my devotion feels truly divine."

Then he added, "The second reason is that from today, the GST reforms have been implemented across the nation. With the launch of the GST Bachat Utsav, people are receiving a true double bonanza in this festive season."

He further said, "The third reason is that today marks the beginning of several development projects in Arunachal. The state has received new initiatives in power connectivity, tourism, healthcare, and many other sectors, opening doors to fresh opportunities for growth."

'Congress always believed Arunachal does not deserve attention'

PM Modi attacked Congress over the development in the state and said, "Congress always believed that since Arunachal has a small population and only two Lok Sabha seats, it does not deserve attention. This mindset caused great harm not only to Arunachal but to the entire Northeast, leaving the region far behind in development. When you gave me the opportunity in 2014, I resolved to free the nation from this thinking of the Congress."

He added, "Unlike the ministers in the Congress government, our central ministers have visited the Northeast more than 800 times. When our ministers visit, they strive to go to far-reaching districts and villages. As a Prime Minister, I have come to the Northeast more than 70 times."
