New Delhi: In recent times, the safety of students at schools has come into question due to some disturbing events, and another one has been added to that list. In Chhattisgarh's Surajpur, a teacher at Hans Vahini Vidya Mandir in a village has allegedly punished a four-year-old student brutally simply for not doing homework. The teacher stripped, tied the child with a rope, and hanged him from a tree inside the school campus in Narayanpur village as the child helplessly cried and begged to be freed.

The helpless cries of a child

Hans Vahini Vidya Mandir is a school that runs classes from nursery to eighth grade. On Monday morning, a teacher in the nursery classes, Kajal Sahu, discovered that one student had not completed his homework. It reportedly infuriated the teacher, who expelled the child from the class. But she did not stop there. Kajal tied the child with a rope and hung the four-year-old from a tree inside the school premises for hours.
