Army Chief General Dwivedi addresses drone sightings

Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi on Tuesday spoke on the drone sightings and said that small, defensive drones were possibly deployed to check Indian activity across the border. He was speaking in his annual press conference and added that India has Pakistan "on notice" over an "unmanned aerial vehicle' along the border. He further said that Pakistan has been warned, with India calling the activity "not acceptable," and told to "rein in its drones," as Operation Sindoor continues to fight against security threat.

General Dwivedi had previously warned Pakistan over terrorism and said, "India, as a country, is fully prepared this time. And this time, it will not show the restraint that it showed during Operation Sindoor 1.0. This time, we will take a step forward and act in a manner that will make Pakistan think whether it wants to remain on the world map or not.”

Pakistan looks to create Rocket Force Command

Meanwhile, Pakistan is reportedly looking to form a Rocket Force Command after being smothered by India during Operation Sindoor. Its objective is to strengthen Pakistan’s long-range strike capabilities. Once formed, this command will be headed by a senior Pakistani army official, in the rank of lieutenant general or major general. It will reportedly be modelled on China’s Rocket Force established in 2015. The aim was to transform China into the world’s leading military power.
