New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has lauded the speeches of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar delivered during a special discussion on 'Operation Sindoor' in the ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament. Taking to social media platform X, PM Modi described both speeches as "excellent" and "insightful".
Operation Sindoor, India's counter-terror operation launched in May 2025 against terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, was the focal point of the session.
In his post on X, the Prime Minister praised the Defence Minister and wrote, "An excellent speech by Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh Ji, giving an insightful perspective on the success of India’s security apparatus and the courage of our armed forces in Operation Sindoor." Singh's speech highlighted the courage with which Indian forces carried out the operation.
Similarly, Jaishankar also garnered Prime Minister's praise for clearly outlining India's global stance against terrorism. "The speech by EAM Dr. Jaishankar Ji was outstanding. He highlighted how the world has clearly heard India’s perspective on fighting the menace of terrorism through Operation Sindoor." PM Modi wrote.
Jaishankar, meanwhile, in a post on X, expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister. “Thank you, PM @narendramodi ji. Your leadership and resolve in the fight against terrorism are an inspiration for us all," he said.
India launched Operation Sindoor targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in May in response to the Pahalgam terror attack. On April 22, terrorists opened fire in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam, claiming lives of 26 innocent people on religious basis. During the session, the Defence Minister stated that the mission was paused without any external pressure.
