It is the 42nd Vande Bharat Express train in India, and it connects Kalaburagi, a city in Karnataka, with the state's capital, which is also known as the 'Silicon Valley of India', Bengaluru. On March 12, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the express train via video conferencing from Ahmedabad. Indian Railways operates the train, and it connects Kalaburagi Junction, Raichur Junction, Yadgir, Mantralayam Road, Anantapur, Yelahanka Junction, Guntakal Junction, and SMVT Bengaluru.
