Ernakulam: Actor Dileep who spoke to the media after the court order acquitting him of all charges stated that there was a major conspiracy hatched against him by the police, a section of media and colleagues in the cinema industry.
Shockingly, actor Dileep harshly criticized his former wife Manju Warrier. He said, “The day Manju mentioned there was a conspiracy in the case, the real conspiracy against me started by a few people”.
“I thank all those who supported me throughout the legal proceedings and the trauma i had undergone. There has been a major conspiracy against me by a section in the police, media and in the cinema fraternity. But today in the court everything has fallen flat. I thank everyone who supported me”, said actor Dileep.
The comments made by Dileep against his former wife, police officials and media persons assumes great significance today.
The prosecution has decided to appeal the court order in a higher court. B Sandhya, the former DGP stated that the prosecution team should appeal against the court order.
Earlier, Dileep avoided talking to the media upon arriving at the court for hearing the judgement. When the charges were being read out for the first six accused, he stood calmly and when the Judge pronounced that the accused number 7, 8, 9 and 15 have been acquitted, he remained calm, even as a collective sigh of relief was heard in the court.
While alleging conspiracy on the part of the cops, Dileep didn't take any further questions although he was repeatedly asked who was behind the conspiracy. He ignored all the questions and walked off, accompanied by his counsels.
