Education Minister V. Sivankutty and Orthodox Church Thrissur Diocese head Mar Yuhanon Meletius had earlier mocked the MP's absence, with the latter remarking on Facebook that the actor-turned-MP sent to Delhi was "missing" and asking if police should be informed.

Suresh Gopi has not publicly responded to the incidents involving nuns and priests in Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and Bihar.

The complaint comes at a time when the allegations of ‘Vote addition’ by Congress leaders gain momentum in the neighbouring state of Karnataka and Maharashtra.

"We are all concerned where the MP has gone for the past one month. He has to reveal his whereabouts. We suspect that he has left the place fearing the allegations of vote rigging in his constituency”, said KSU state president Abhijith.

Meanwhile, BJP state secretary Anoop Antony has alleged that a vote theft of more than 5 lakh votes have been identified in Kerala and has accused the CPM behind the act.
