The court accepted the police's argument that granting bail at this stage could hamper the ongoing investigation, leading to the denial of Potty's bail request
Unnikrishnan Potti
Kollam: The Kollam Vigilance Court has once again rejected the bail petition of Unnikrishnan Potty, the main accused in the Sabarimala gold theft case. This marks the second time the court has denied him bail in connection with two ongoing cases.
Potty argued that he has been in custody for the past 90 days since his initial arrest and is thus entitled to bail. However, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) informed the court that the investigation is still at a crucial stage and that further inquiries and evidence collection are necessary.
The court accepted the police’s argument that granting bail at this stage could hamper the ongoing investigation, leading to the denial of Potty’s bail request.
