New Delhi: In a horrific incident in Lucknow, a student of class 7 who went to meet an Instagram 'friend' was locked up in a hotel room and gang-raped for two days. A case has been registered and the police have arrested two accused while the main accused is yet to be nabbed as per reports.
In her complaint, the girl's mother said that the minor girl befriended a man named Vimal Yadav on Instagram. Their 'friendship' grew and Vimal asked her to meet. After reaching the spot, the girl found Vimal with two other friends, Shubham Shukla and Piyush Mishra.
They made her board a Scorpio SUV for a 'joyride', and then took her into a hotel room. They took away the girl's phone, and raped her by turns for two days, after which the accused dropped the girl off near her home and fled.
The crime traumatized the minor girl who broke down when asked about her whereabouts. She told her mother that the accused even beat her when she showed resistance, and also threatened to circulate videos of the gang-rape.
A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The police have arrested Piyush and Shubham and are looking for the main accused.
