BJP MP Tejasvi Surya took to X and wrote, "A sweet 'Rasmalai' victory for BJP Mumbai in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation Election. Congratulations to CM Devendra Fadnavis and all dedicated karyakartas for their tireless efforts in this victory. The Triple Engine Sarkar, under the leadership of PM Modi, will work strongly for Mumbai’s redevelopment and improve Ease of living for all Mumbaikars."

PC Mohan, another BJP MP from Karnataka, shared photos of 'rasmalai' on X with the caption, "Ordered some rasmalai. #BMCResults."

Annamalai attacks opposition camp

Annamalai has hailed people's trust in "the triple-engine leadership" of the BJP and added that they have rejected "divisive propaganda." He said in a social media post, "The people of Mumbai have spoken with crystal clarity and the historic victory of the Mahayuti alliance in the BMC elections is a resounding endorsement of development-first governance."

He took a dig at the opposite camp and added, "The opposition was banking on the failed strategy of dividing Mumbaikars along linguistic and regional lines, a 20th-century relic the people soundly rejected. While our NDA government talks about development infrastructure, jobs, and growth, the opposition clung to an archaic narrative of regional animosity. Mumbaikars chose substance over divisiveness."

Notably, Raj Thackeray and his MNS have performed woefully in the BMC elections, and it is yet to flip the chain of its below-par results in polls. He joined hands with Uddhav Thackeray right before the elections, but the dismal performance has enabled the BJP to give back the same jab that he hurled at Annamalai. It remains to be seen how he shapes the future course amid such difficult times.
