Bengaluru: A man from Noida took to Reddit to share his thoughts relating to Bengaluru. Stating that he moved to the city for work, the man admitted that he did not enjoy staying in Bengaluru. He described the tech capital as "fake and shallow". The post garnered the attention of many. It split netizens.
In the Reddit post titled "For those who think Bangalore is better than Noida", the man wrote, "I've lived in Noida for 26 years — born and brought up there. I moved to Bengaluru last year, and every day I wish to go back to Noida. But I can't because of the pay. You won’t get as much money in Noida." Further, he talked about the reasons that caused him to dislike Bengaluru.
He started off by stating that people in the city enjoy an ostentatious lifestyle. He claimed that everyone was invested in buying expensive things, even dogs, to project a flamboyant life. He went on to state that Bengaluru was overpriced and one had to stand in queues or book prior to dine at good restaurants and cafes.
Noida man claims Bengaluru is shallow; says he does not enjoy living in the city
"You have to pre-book just to enter most places. You can't walk into cafes or restaurants on weekends. And the food is mediocre at best. Sure, there are good cafes, but the wait time is so long, it kills the vibe. Why would you want to stand in line for half an hour," said the man.
He then went on to talk about the infamous Bengaluru traffic, claiming that it is worse than what's said to be. However, he admitted that the weather in Bangalore was good. But also added that it wasn't good enough to outweigh the other negatives.
The post triggered several comments. One person commented, "No one said Bangalore is better than Noida. Noida is far better in infra and living standard. But Bangalore has better pay and opportunities, so can’t deny that (sic)." Another person wrote, "Roads in Noida are unsafe, no traffic police, and power outages are much more common. Water is way worse. Even if few things are cheaper, the gentry is no way as good as Bangalore."
