Pralhad Joshi predicts record win for NDA in Bihar, says public backs Modi–Nitish leadership
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi said NDA will secure a historic victory in Bihar, crediting public faith in PM Modi and CM Nitish Kumar's leadership while accusing Congress and RJD of sidelining smaller parties.
New Delhi: Union Minister Pralhad Joshi on Friday expressed confidence that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will secure a "much bigger victory” in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections than in previous years.
In Sitamarhi, Joshi said, "We will achieve a much bigger victory than the ones we have achieved so far. The public is going to give its blessings in large numbers to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.” He further attacked the opposition, saying, "The Congress and the RJD have a policy of disrespecting small parties.”
Joshi’s remarks come as NDA leaders intensify their campaign across Bihar, highlighting the government’s development record and the alliance’s unity, while the opposition bloc focuses on unemployment and social justice issues ahead of the November polls.

The Election Commission of India announced on 6 October 2025 that the Bihar Legislative Assembly elections will be held in two phases, on 6 November and 11 November 2025, to elect 243 members of the state assembly. The counting of votes and declaration of results will take place on 14 November, while the current assembly’s tenure is set to expire on 22 November 2025.
