New Delhi: An Additional District judge, Rajesh Kumar Gajra has ordered the attachment of the government vehicles of District Collector, Subdivision Officer and Tehsildar Didwan in Rajasthan's Nagaur district. The order was issued against these officials for allegedly violating an 8-year-old court order.
According to reports, the officials concerned failed to follow an 8-year-old court order regarding a piece of land. The court had passed an order in favour of the Waqf Committee in the matter of changing the type of cemetery land. The order was passed in 2015.
The court said that since the officials failed to follow the orders and act upon it, it will be considered as a 'contempt of court'. The judge ordered that all the 3 vehicles should be confiscated by September 20 and produced in court.
So far there has been no reaction from the officials whose vehicles are to be confiscated.
