New Delhi: Six people, including the pilot, were injured after a small aircraft made an emergency landing around nine kilometre from the Rourkela airstrip in Odisha following a technical fault detected mid-flight.

The nine-seater aircraft, flying from Bhubaneswar to Rourkela, reportedly developed trouble about 10 kilometre after take-off, forcing the emergency landing. There were six people on board, four passengers and two crew members, identified as Captain Naveen Kadanga and Captain Tarun Srivastava.

Officials said all passengers were safely evacuated, while the pilot sustained serious injuries and was admitted to hospital. The remaining occupants suffered minor injuries.
