New Delhi: At least one person was killed while 15 others were injured after a speeding Audi car rammed into pedestrians and roadside food carts in Jaipur on Friday night.

The injured were rushed to Jaipuriyah Hospital, from where four critically injured persons were referred to SMS Hospital for advanced treatment.
Police confirmed the death of one person, identified as Ramesh.
According to reports, the Audi was travelling at a very high speed and first hit the road divider before ploughing into the stalls and pedestrians. At least 10 food carts were damaged in the crash. Hours after the incident, overturned carts, scattered footwear and vehicle debris were still visible at the site.

It was also reported that one of the occupants may be a police personnel.
The Audi, which has a Delhi registration, has been seized. Police said the vehicle is registered in the name of the Hare Krishna Mission.
Following the incident, Rajasthan Medical and Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar, local MLA Gopal Sharma, and senior officials visited Jaipuriyah Hospital to enquire about the condition of the injured.
