Hyderabad: Telangana BJP leader and Union Minister of State Bandi Sanjay criticised Telangana CM Revanth Reddy for alleged ‘anti-hindu’ remarks.
“The Congress has always been a party that bends before the AIMIM. Congress carries deep-rooted hatred towards Hindus. Urge the Hindus to see the reality of Congress clearly.”
Other BJP leaders N Ramachander Rao, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy called for Hindu unity in the state.
In a statement on social media platform X, Kishan Reddy stated, “In the recent Jubilee Hills by-election campaign, Revanth Reddy said that Congress means Muslims and Muslims mean Congress.
Perhaps, Revanth Reddy is speaking harshly about Hindus and deities because of the MIM association. The time has come for all Hindus to unite in Telangana too.”
What did Revanth Reddy say?
During Congress executive meeting on Tuesday, Revanth Reddy said that the Congress is inclusive and takes along all kinds of people and there is no consensus in the party over worshipping gods and DCC presidents.
“How many deities and gods do Hindus have? Three crores? There’s Hanuman for those don’t get married. There’s another for those who get married twice. There’s one for those who drink toddy. Yellamma, Pochamma, Maisamma, for those who eat non-vegetarian and another god for those who eat dal rice.”
The remarks came in response to alleged unease within Congress party over the appointment of new District Congress Committee (DCC) chiefs.
