Cold wave grips Telangana; temperatures drop in Hyderabad

On Sunday, Serilingampally in Hyderabad recorded 8.8°C while Rajendranagar recorded 10°C.

Hyderabad: Several districts in Telangana recorded temperatures in single digits including Komarambheem Asifabad with 7°C while Snagareddy has recorded 7.1°C, Adilabad  recorded 7.7°C followed by Vikarabad, at 8.1°C. Kamareddy, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Medak, Nirmal recorded temperatures below 10°C.

Serilingampally in Hyderabad recorded 8.8°C while Rajendranagar recorded 10°C followed by Secunderabad Cantonment (11.2°C), West Maredpally (11.5°C), Alwal, Qutubullapur, Gachibowli, Sivarampalle, Malkajgiri, Bahadurpura, Himayatnagar.

Minimum temperatures are likely to be below normal by 4-5°C at some places over the next 2-3 days. Cold wave conditions are very likely in some places in Adilabad, Asifabad, Nirmal, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy districts till November 19,  India Meteorological Department said.

In Hyderabad, partly cloudy sky is expected along with misty, hazy conditions during morning hours. Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 29°C and 14°C respectively.

Meanwhile, low pressure continues in the southwest Bay of Bengal. Scattered moderate to heavy rains in Nellore, Tirupati districts, scattered light to moderate rains in Prakasam, Annamayya, Chittoor districts, Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority said.
