Hyderabad: An Engineering college bus carrying students overturned near Palvancha, between Aswapuram and Burgampahad mandals in Bhadradri Kothagudem district, injuring many students, tv9 telugu reported.
The bus, belonging to KLR Engineering College, was traveling from Manuguru to Palvancha when it lost control and overturned near Sai Baba temple in Mondikunta.
Female student’s hand fractured:
According to reports, there were 60 students on board at the time of the accident. Several of them sustained injuries, and some with serious injuries were shifted to a hospital in Bhadrachalam. The Aswapuram Circle Inspector reached the spot and inspected the scene.
A female student is said to have fractured one of her hand as she was stuck between the bus seats while several others suffered minor bleeding injuries. The student has been shifted to Khammam for better treatment.
Thick dense fog responsible for accident?
Officials said that dense fog and poor visibility could be the reason for the accident but students alleged driver’s negligence as the reason. The students reportedly claimed that the driver told them that the steering was not functioning properly.
They said that they were initially supposed to take a different bus but another bus was sent. They asked for a thorough investigation and demanded accountability for the accident.
