Telangana cabinet expansion: Two MLAs given cabinet level positions
Bodhan MLA P Sudarshan Reddy, Mancherial MLA Prem Sagar Rao have been elevated to cabinet minister ranks.
Hyderabad: The Congress government has appointed Bodhan MLA P Sudarshan Reddy as an advisor to the government (Implementation of all flagship welfare and developmental schemes) with the rank of a cabinet minister.
He will review the implementation of the welfare schemes with district collectors and secretaries of departments. His pay will be as admissible to a cabinet minister and he will be provided with residential accommodation on par with a cabinet minister and he will be a special invitee to all cabinet meetings.
Mancherial MLA Prem Sagar Rao has been appointed as Chairman of Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd, with the status of cabinet minister.
Jubilee Hills bypoll:
It comes on a day when Mohammed Azharuddin has been sworn-in as a cabinet minister, expanding the cabinet, ahead of Jubilee Hills bypolls. Azharuddin is expected to campaign for the Congress candidate Naveen Yadav.
The Congress party seeks to wrest the Jubilee Hills seat from the BRS and CM Revanth Reddy is set to campaign in the constituency on Friday.
BRS star campaigner and former CM K Chandrasekhar Rao will also campaign for BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha.
