Telangana: Private travels bus catches fire in Nalgonda; passengers unhurt
The bus was on its way from Hyderabad to Kandukur, Nellore district of AP and caught fire near Veliminedu, Chityal mandal.
Hyderabad: A private AC sleeper bus traveling from Hyderabad to Kandukur caught fire near Veliminedu, Chityal mandal on Hyderabad-Vijayawada National Highway, tv9 telugu reported.
Smoke began to emerge from the bus when the vehicle reached Pittampalli, Chityal mandal. The bus staff immediately warned the passengers and enabled them to get down from the bus safely before the flames completely engulfed the vehicle.

All 29 passengers on board the bus escaped the incident unhurt. However, the bus was completely gutted in the blaze.

Kurnool bus tragedy:
The accident comes a few days after 24 people were killed in a horrific bus accident in Kurnool district of AP. The bus en route from Hyderabad to Bengaluru, caught fire after colliding with a two-wheeler on National Highway 44 in Chinnatekuru, a suburb of Kurnool on October 24.
The fire spread quickly in the AC sleeper bus, burning 20 people alive. The bus driver reportedly fled the scene immediately after the accident and passengers had to smash the rear window to save their lives. The door was also jammed, leaving the passengers with just one option to survive. The private company vehicle had a record of multiple traffic violations in Telangana. As per traffic police data, the vehicle had e-challans worth Rs 23,000 for over speeding, dangerous driving, wrong side driving and entering no-entry zones. It was also penalised for unauthorised parking, failure to carry drivers liscence.
