She died on Thursday night. Her parents who reside in Jammu reached Udaipur on Saturday morning. They met the college management. Following persuasion of the college, the girl's body was moved to the mortuary of MB Hospital. But so far no postmortem has been conducted on the body as her family has not given consent for it.

The girl has reportedly left behind a suicide note in which she has named some of her teachers as being responsible for her death. These teachers were reportedly harassing her. The family and also other students of the college are demanding that the management act against the teachers whom she has named in her suicide note and they be arrested.

The family members and the students have made it clea that they will not take Singh's body until the 2 teachers named in her suicide note are arrested.

The family has also alleged that Shweta Singh was mentally tortured. No matter how many efforts are made by the college management to stop such harassment, clearly they are not bearing any fruits, they said. Such cases are being reported from various private colleges from across India, added the family members.

The family said that though the college had said that they would dismiss the 2 teachers named in the girl's suicide note, they do not trust their words. The family demanded that an enquiry be set up against the 2 teachers and if found guilty they must get the strictest possible punishment.

The police meanwhile are carrying out investigations in the matter. There have been no arrests so far.
