Bengaluru: The city’s crumbling roads and endless traffic snarls are leaving citizens frustrated and school-going children are no exception. A video that surfaced online shows three students highlighting how potholes and gridlocks are eating into their study time.
Shared by the X account @total-woke, the clip features Aniya, Nadia, and Mehena speaking candidly about their ordeal. The girls explain that most of their day is spent commuting, as traffic holds them up for hours. One of them points out that their school is only 14 kilometers away, yet the journey takes far longer than it should because of poor road conditions.
The video has sparked a wave of reactions from netizens, many of whom questioned whether such chaos reflects the city’s idea of development. While some sympathised with the children, others called on authorities to prioritise basic infrastructure instead of turning a blind eye to citizens’ daily struggles.
