Who is Nitin Nabin?

Nabin, a Kayasth by caste, currently serves as a minister in Bihar’s Public Works Department and represents the Bankipur constituency in Patna. His elevation places one of the party’s younger leaders at the helm of organisational responsibilities at the national level. The son of late BJP leader Nabin Kishore Sinha, Nitin Nabin began his political journey through student politics with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). Over the years, he built a strong organisational presence within the BJP’s Patna unit before stepping into electoral politics.

He contested his first assembly election in 2010 and has since retained the Bankipur seat in successive polls, establishing himself as a key leader with a focus on urban development and infrastructure. The announcement of Nabin’s appointment coincided with the BJP naming Pankaj Choudhary as its new Uttar Pradesh state president.

Within the party, Nabin is also known for his extensive work with the Yuva Morcha and for handling several election-related responsibilities in recent years, including in Chhattisgarh, where the BJP secured a decisive victory. Seen as one of the youngest leaders to assume such a senior organisational role, Nabin is regarded within the party as a leader who combines administrative experience with grassroots organisational work.

PM Modi congratulates Nabin

“He has diligently worked to fulfil people’s aspirations. He is known for his humble nature and grounded style of working. I am confident that his energy and dedication will strengthen our Party in the times to come. Congratulations to him on becoming the BJP National Working President,” the Prime Minister added.
