Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday hailed the BJP-NDA’s victory in the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, describing it as a landmark moment that signals a shift in Kerala’s political trajectory. He credited the outcome to sustained grassroots work by party workers and growing public faith in the BJP’s development agenda.
Congratulating residents of the state capital, the Prime Minister posted, “Thank you, Thiruvananthapuram!” He said the mandate in the civic body polls marked a decisive change in Kerala politics and reflected the belief that the state’s development goals can be fulfilled only under the BJP’s leadership.
The PM said the BJP-NDA would focus on the overall growth of the city, with special emphasis on enhancing the ‘Ease of Living’ for its people. He added that the verdict underlined public confidence in the party’s vision for development-driven governance.
In a separate post on X, the Prime Minister expressed appreciation for BJP karyakartas, calling the result “spectacular” and attributing it to their tireless work at the grassroots. He said the victory was also a moment to remember generations of party workers in Kerala whose long struggle and commitment laid the foundation for this success.
Reiterating that party workers form the backbone of the BJP, Modi said the organisation takes pride in their dedication and perseverance.
The Prime Minister also thanked voters across Kerala for supporting the BJP and NDA in the local body elections. In another post, he said people in the state are disillusioned with both the UDF and LDF and now view the NDA as the only viable alternative capable of delivering good governance. He added that the NDA is committed to building a ‘Viksit Keralam’ that offers opportunities for all.
