New Delhi: A social media video of an altercation between two passengers on board a Mumbai-bound Air India flight has sparked a debate over the language controversy.

The video shared by Mahi Khan, a Youtuber, shows a female passenger telling him that he should know the Marathi language as he was travelling to Mumbai. The incident took place on Air India flight 676.

The influencer alleged that the female passenger allegedly pressured him to speak Marathi, saying, "If you are going to Mumbai, you should speak Marathi." According to Khan, the altercation escalated even after cabin crew intervened.

The woman reportedly continued to berate him, and at one point threatened him saying, "When you reach Mumbai, I will teach you the meaning of rudeness." The video has now gone viral on social media, reigniting the Hindi vs Marathi debate.
