Himachali Til Choli prasad recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup chana dal (Bengal gram)
  • ½ cup white sesame seeds
  • 2–3 tbsp ghee
  • ½–¾ cup jaggery, crumbled
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • A pinch of dry ginger powder 
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsp dry fruits (raisins or chopped almonds, optional)

Steps to prepare: 

  • Rinse chana dal in water and soak for 4 hours.
  • After soaking, drain the dal completely
  • Spread it on a clean cloth and let it dry.
  • Dry-roast dal on medium heat until golden and crunchy.
  • In the same pan, roast sesame seeds
  • In a separate pan, warm ghee with jaggery and let it melt.
  • Sprinkle cardamom powder, dry ginger and pinch of salt.
  • Add raisins and almonds for a festive touch
  • Spread the mixture on a greased plate and allow it to cool.
  • Once cooled, it becomes crisp and aromatic to enjoy as prasad.
