Step-by-step guide to make floating water diyas

1. First, gather materials like marigold or rose flowers, wine or simple glasses, a few round cotton wicks, a sheet of aluminum foil, a matchbox and oil.

2. Pack flowers tightly at the bottom of the glass vase. Otherwise, they will float as you add water.

3. Add water, and then pour a thick layer of oil. You can use any cooking oil, too.

4. Poke a tiny hole in a small sheet of aluminum foil and thread a round cotton batti or wick through it. Place it in the oil-infused water.

5. It will burn until the oil is finished.

6. Make sure your cotton batti doesn’t get any water on it.

Making floating diyas at home is a fun and creative way to celebrate Diwali while keeping your décor simple yet elegant. With just a few basic materials, you can design floating diyas that radiate beauty and positivity. So, this Diwali 2025, stand out and enjoy!
